Responsibilities
- Being main point of contact responsible for supporting Equity business, in time taking ownership of this area
- Building out new market and product capabilities
- Oversight of daily T+1 reconciliation of trades, positions and cash activity across accounts
- Working with counterparts at managed account to improve workflow and reduce exceptions and errors
- Identifying and documenting root causes to persistent issues that occur in our workflow, and provide proposals on ways to tackle at source
- Facilitate the onboarding of new PB and new counterparties
- Oversight and assistance with daily BAU tasks as required
- Ensuring EOD Equity Allocation are completed and reported in accurate manner
- Processing expiries on Equity Index Options and Single Stock Options
- Processing of corporate actions
- Being a point of escalation for any settlement issues
- Oversight of affirmation on CTM. Working on bringing this in house in the latter part of the year
- Facilitating ad hoc requests arising from the Equity business
- Providing support to other product areas where capacity allows
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics / Accounting/ Finance/ Computer Science or related discipline
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in Fund Operations, including cash positions, settlement, reconciliation etc., candidate with more experience will consider as Senior Operations Associate / Operations Manager
- Fund products (Fixed Income, equities, FX etc.) knowledge preferred, knowledge in OTC is advantageous
- Sensitive to numbers and attentive to details
- Good presentation and communication skills (fluent Cantonese & English, Mandarin is a plus)
