They are actively looking for an Underwriter for their P&C team that will be able to underwrite and analyze new and renewal businesses effectively and efficiently.

Who Should Apply

Degree holder with 1-2 years of insurance/underwriting experience.
ACII/AAII certification preferred but not a must.
Strong multi-line underwriting knowledge, especially in Property & Casualty.
Experience evaluating middle market risks and guiding others in analyzing it.
Skilled in negotiating mid-market deals and providing exceptional customer service.
Proven ability to troubleshoot broker issues and develop programs for multiple or large producers.
Strong team player with exceptional negotiation and selling skills.
Fluency in English & Cantonese; Mandarin a plus.
Ability to build strong business relationships with customers and producers.
Open to new approaches.
Self-starter, results-oriented.

Why Should You Apply

Focus on Property & Casualty portfolios for a multi-line business, with emphasis on Mid-Market domestic business performance in Hong Kong.
Use company specific framework to analyze and underwrite new/renewal business within delegated authority levels.
Build/maintain relationships with brokers/distributors, propose solutions to customers, and contribute to proposition development.
Maintain profitable multi-line underwriting for Mid-Market portfolios, provide training to associates.
Apply company specific elements to handle complex assignments, analyze risk, negotiate terms, and set coverage.
Manage accounts, handle queries, provide advice, and implement agreed standards/practices to maintain underwriting discipline.
Use MI tools/processes (RCT, UW Scorecards, etc.) to manage portfolios mix/performance and pipelines proactively.
