Responsibilties:

  • Manage regulatory data programme, include defining data programme strategy, tracking the programme status, overseeing the activities of data process owners, liaison with stakeholders, and supporting regulator engagement.
  • Support and handle data control activities, include data governance management, data control and quality review, data and process identification, as well as data sourcing review.
  • Provide update and escalation to Governance Forum.
  • Ensure data project initiatives follow internal data policies and external regulatory requirement.
  • Work closely with first line of defence of Data Risk, including Risk, Finance and Compliance teams to define and drive data management activities.
  • Work closely with second line of defence of Data Risk to ensure a robust data control and management of the Bank.

Requirement:

  • Background in data governance, data management, data control, regulatory engagement.
  • 2-3 years in data management / business analysis / risk management / project management.
  • Have fair understanding of data governance and management principles.
  • Have fair understanding on risk management and financial risk management, such as Wholesale Credit Risk, Retail Credit Risk, Capital Risk, Liquidity Risk and Interest Rate Risk.
  • Attention to detail combined with a strong delivery focus and ability to meet aggressive timeframes with quality results.
  • Awareness on data governance and management trends within the banking industry.
  • Strong presentation skills: facilitate steering committee and good stakeholder management as the role will face across all different levels of management in the bank locally, regionally and globally, as well as regulator.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
  • Ability to interact and build relationship with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently with less supervision.
  • University degree in related disciplines.
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes.
