We are currently assisting our client in finding a highly motivated and professional individual to join their team as a Clinic Receptionist. This position requires fluency in both English and Cantonese languages. As the first point of contact for the clinic, the receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for patients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills in both languages, along with strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. This is a stable, long-term position with opportunities for growth and development within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Check-In: Greet patients in a friendly and welcoming manner, ensuring a smooth check-in process. Collect and verify patient information, including personal details and insurance information. Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with utmost care.
  • Answering Phone Calls: Manage incoming calls and inquiries, providing accurate and timely information to patients and other callers in both English and Cantonese. Direct calls to the appropriate staff members and take detailed messages when necessary. Maintain a professional and courteous telephone manner in both languages.
  • Administrative Work: Perform a variety of administrative tasks to support the clinic's operations. This includes scheduling appointments, updating patient records, filing documents, and processing payments. Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all administrative duties.
  • Medical Terminology: Participate in on-the-job training to gain familiarity with medical terminology and clinic-specific procedures. Develop a comprehensive understanding of common medical terms and concepts to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals in both English and Cantonese.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally. Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues or escalate them to the appropriate staff members. Maintain a positive and welcoming environment at the reception desk in both languages.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role is preferred.
  • Fluency in both English and Cantonese languages, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and office software.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and software platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
