Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key contributing member of the audit function management team
  • Contribute to the preparation, administration, and communication of the annual audit plan
  • Steer the daily activities of the audit team to ensure implementation of the audit plan
  • Manage and deliver audit assignments to professional, company, and audit function standards
  • Prepare and deliver status reports for governance committees and provide insights to stakeholders
  • Coordinate, lead, and execute high-quality audits and other reviews
  • Provide advice on controls, risk management, and consultancy services as required
  • Supervise, coach, and monitor audit team members
  • Support the development of audit strategies, standards, and procedures for Aegon and its JVs
  • Maintain oversight and perform quality assurance on JV audit team work
  • Develop and maintain relationships with a variety of internal stakeholders
  • Execute special projects (e.g., fraud investigations) as directed by the CAE
  • Contribute to the definition, delivery, and embedding of global audit strategies and initiatives
