Our client is reputable securities firm with strong APAC presence currently seeking for a 3+ years PQE lawyer to join the team. They have an excellent working culture fostering open communication with a very friendly working environment. The candidate would be ideally be an in-house lawyer coming from a securites firm with strong knowledge of OTC derivatives. The team promotes work life balance and offers excellent remuneration package to the right candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and support to various business units on OTC derivatives products, including structuring, negotiation, documentation, and transactional matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal agreements, including ISDA Master Agreements, collateral agreements, and other related documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including traders, risk management, compliance, and operations teams, to address legal issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance for OTC derivatives products.
  • Monitor and analyze legal and regulatory developments impacting OTC derivatives markets and provide proactive advice to mitigate potential risks.
  • Manage and oversee litigation matters related to OTC derivatives, including dispute resolution, negotiation, and coordination with external counsels when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3 years of PQE in an investment bank / securities firm
  • Strong knowledge of OTC derivatives products, including derivatives documentation (ISDA Master Agreements, CSA, GMRA) and relevant regulations (e.g., Dodd-Frank, EMIR, MiFID II).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to evaluate complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external parties.
  • Fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
