Our client is a multi-billion-dollar hedge fund covering diverse asset classes such as equities, fixed income and commodities using their cutting-edge trading technology.
They are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer who is hands-on in providing end-to-end technical support to front office traders throughout the trading workflow.
Job duties
- Provide first and second level application support to Traders and other front office staff for new and existing trading systems
- Liaise with traders to understand their business requirements and technical problems and coordinate with IT teams for efficient delivery of solutions
- Support QA testing and deployment of trading applications
- Perform routine intraday health checks to support traders across different geographical regions
- Coordinate with back office to address any technical issues during trade booking and price breaks
Job requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical fields from a reputable university
- 5 to 10 years of experience working as a hands-on Application Support in investment banks or hedge funds
- Solid technical understanding of trading systems (e.g. OMS, EMS, connectivity systems etc)
- Proficiency in Unix, Linux, SQL and Python automation is required
- Strong knowledge of FIX protocol with prior experience in troubleshooting breaks
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English is a must
