We believe that DEI should be at the focus of all recruitment strategies. As recruitment consultants, we have a critical role in promoting diverse hiring methods across all our networks.

Gravitas are proud to have a dedicated DEI Committee encouraging, educating and driving DEI initiatives. Our DEI ambassadors are committed in working actively with their network, such as working with Hiring Managers on diverse initiatives and providing guidance across inclusive hiring processes.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: why should it matter?

Diverse workforces improve productivity, creative-thinking, and innovation where organisations can progress towards successful partnerships and company culture. Research has shown that organisations with inclusive and diverse initiatives are twice as likely to meet or exceed their financial goals, and twice as likely to achieve better business outcomes.

We hold our leaders accountable as advocates for Gravitas’ DEI vision by being role models, addressing unconscious bias and driving DEI initiatives.

We achieve this through training, so our leaders have confidence and a true belief in discussing DEI topics with our network of employees, candidates, and clients. Our leaders believe and understand the importance of fostering an inclusive workplace culture.

As recruitment consultants, we play an important mission in addressing and promoting DEI principles into all aspects of the recruitment process, talent management and employee retention. How do we do this?

  • Conducting competency-based interviews, assessing candidates on their motivation, resilience and passion.
  • Our job descriptions are reviewed and amended accordingly to eliminate gender bias, using the Gender Decoder tool.
  • We educate potential candidates on DEI importance, such as through Interview Days and workshops.

Our DEI committee

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee is a diverse group of people, passionate about DEI and play a key role in driving initiatives within Gravitas.

The DEI Committee are dedicated in ensuring Gravitas are proactive in their DEI strategy, through educating, collaborating, consulting and advising on inclusive and diverse recruitment processes. They ensure we are accountable for acting on our crucial position in our network.
