We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Casualty Manager to lead our underwriting efforts in the SME and Mid-Market segments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underwriting Employee Compensation and Contractor All Risk insurance, with a focus on delivering exceptional service to our clients and driving profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwriting Expertise: Evaluate, analyze, and underwrite Employee Compensation and Contractor All Risk insurance applications for SME and Mid-Market clients.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop tailored insurance solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with International brokers and clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to develop effective underwriting strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and claims teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the underwriting process.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior underwriters, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 - 8 years of underwriting experience in Employee Compensation and Contractor All Risk insurance.
- Strong knowledge of the SME and Mid-Market insurance sectors.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ACII, ANZIFF) are a plus.
