Core Engineering Manager

In this role, you’ll lead core engineering efforts for cryptocurrency markets by shaping and improving a high-frequency trading platform, enabling access to markets globally, and ensuring critical delivery through strong technical direction and team leadership.
Role Overview:
As Core Engineering Manager, you will own the design, architecture, and ongoing optimization of the trading platform for cryptocurrency markets, while leading and mentoring a global team of developers to deliver business-critical capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Skills & Experience:
• C++ development (10+ years)
• Proven leadership and mentoring of software development teams (including distributed/global teams)
• Designing and delivering complex, high-performance software systems
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming in C++
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills in English for business purposes
• Understanding of Linux operating system and Networking (TCP/IP and UDP)
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and architect a high-frequency trading platform for cryptocurrency markets, including collecting quotes and trades and disseminating orders to exchanges worldwide
• Manage and mentor a global team of developers across multiple regions
• Partner with traders, business management, and other stakeholders to prioritize projects and deliver business-critical solutions
• Optimize platform performance using network and systems programming and other advanced techniques to minimize latency
• Develop systems that provide easy access to historical market data and trading simulations
Requirements:
• Degree in computer science or a related field
• At least 10+ years of experience with C++ development, preferably in a trading environment
• Proven experience leading and mentoring software development teams, including distributed or global teams
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver complex, high-performance software systems
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets, exchange APIs (WebSocket/HTTP), and cloud technologies is required
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills in English for business purposes
• On-site working arrangement
Nice to Have (Optional):
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin
• Knowledge of Python and shell scripts
