Role Title: Full Stack Engineer (Contract)

Executive Summary

• The Role: A 12-month contract for a senior-level Full Stack Developer within a global financial services firm.
• Tech Stack: Python, Java, React, Next.js, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, and NoSQL.
• Core Task: Building and optimizing automation tools, microservices, and financial engineering applications across global offices.
• Key Requirement: A blend of solid full-stack development, modern DevOps/containerization skills, and basic familiarity with data science analytics.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our technology team. In this role, you will build and maintain high-performance financial engineering applications that automate processes, mitigate risk, and enhance operational efficiency.


Core Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications.
• Develop backend systems primarily using Python, supplemented by Java and other enterprise languages.
• Build responsive frontend interfaces using React, Next.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Architect robust, distributed services using microservices and event-driven patterns.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and translate technical concepts for non-technical business stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot production issues rapidly and implement effective, high-quality solutions.
• Collaborate effectively across distributed, multi-site engineering teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Python, with exposure to languages like Java, C++, Go, or Rust.
• Hands-on experience with frontend technologies, specifically React, Next.js, and JavaScript.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, including microservices, event-driven design, Docker containerization, and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Experience navigating the full SDLC, utilizing DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL database management systems.
• Exposure to data science workflows, statistical modeling, or machine learning concepts.
• Familiarity with Python-based UI frameworks like Dash is a plus.
