The Fund Operation role supports our client’s asset management activities by managing fund onboarding, lifecycle, and operational systems. The position is integral to ensuring smooth fund launches and ongoing administration, contributing to the firm's growth and efficiency.
Our client specialises in wealth management and fund distribution within the private banking sector, operating in an on-site environment for a fixed-term project. The organisation values compliance, attention to detail, and technical expertise in fund-related processes.
Role Overview
The Fund Operation professional will lead the end-to-end fund onboarding process, including conducting due diligence, securing internal approvals, and coordinating across departments for product launches. They will provide technical advisory support on fund selection and portfolio construction to relationship managers, while overseeing the fund lifecycle by managing transactions, monitoring performance, and executing mandatory reviews. Additionally, the role involves defining business requirements, conducting UAT, and system improvements to optimise operational workflows.
Key Skills & Experience
- Lead the end-to-end fund onboarding process, including due diligence and internal approvals
- Manage transactions and monitor fund performance throughout the fund lifecycle
- Develop and define system requirements, conduct UAT for fund systems
- Provide technical advisory on mutual funds, private funds, asset allocation, and risk frameworks
- Utilise MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint) for operational and reporting activities
- Maintain high attention to detail in document review and transaction monitoring
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
- 3–5 years' experience in private banking, wealth management, or fund distribution
- Knowledge of mutual funds, private funds, asset allocation, and risk-rating frameworks
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English
- On-site working environment required for a duration of 2 weeks, starting 01/09/2026
- Right to work in the region
