Quantitative Developer (Python)
The Quantitative Developer (Python) position supports the development of scalable software for research and trading within a global financial environment. This role is essential for enabling quantitative researchers to implement efficient workflows, with the company's culture focused on innovation and technical excellence.
The role operates within the quantitative development team, which collaborates closely with research and technology peers across multiple locations. The successful candidate will oversee the full engineering lifecycle of projects, from design to deployment, and provide level 2 support for critical components. Success in this position involves delivering reliable, high-performance software solutions that meet the team’s research and trading needs.
- Develop and build efficient and scalable workflows for research and trading
- Collaborate with team members and technology peers to ensure consistency and reusability of software components
- Take ownership of projects throughout their full engineering lifecycle
- Provide level 2 support for critical software components
Requirements
- Degree in applied math, physics, engineering, quantitative finance, or computer science
- Four or more years’ experience with Python, C++, or KDB+/q
- Knowledge of finance, data storage, processing, and analysis
- Experience with modern software development practices: version control, agile development
- Excellent technical communication skills
Nice to have
- Advanced quantitative skills
- Experience with requirements analysis and software solution design
- Experience with continuous integration (CI), logging, and monitoring systems
- Database experience
