The Senior Business Analyst, Insurance, plays a crucial role in bridging business and technology teams within the organisation. This position involves leading requirements gathering, process analysis, and stakeholder management to support large-scale system implementations and enhancements. The role requires close collaboration with IT, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver operational improvements and effective solutions.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Lead requirements gathering workshops and work closely with business stakeholders to define, analyze, and document business and system requirements
  • Guide stakeholders in mapping end-to-end workflows, business rules, and process requirements
  • Analyze and improve business processes, identifying opportunities for operational efficiency and automation
  • Partner with IT, vendors, and project teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs
  • Serve as the key liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring clear communication and stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, business validation, and sign-off activities
  • Provide business analysis leadership for system implementation, enhancement, and transformation initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of Business Analysis experience, preferably within the insurance industry
  • Solid experience with Insurance Core Systems, particularly Underwriting, Policy Administration, and Claims Management processes
  • Proven track record in requirements management, process improvement, and large-scale system implementation projects
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Cantonese
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project environments is preferred
