The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful testing and quality assurance delivery of multiple strategic initiatives, particularly within the financial services or banking sector. As a Test Lead, you will drive the initiation, mobilisation, and execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities. You will be hands-on in managing test activities across the programme lifecycle, including developing detailed business cases, coordinating with stakeholders from both business and IT domains, as well as securing necessary approvals. Regular tracking and reporting of progress, financials, risks, and mitigation strategies will form a core part of the role, with updates provided to senior management and steering committees. You will also be responsible for managing engagement with external vendors, preparing RFPs, and leading delivery from off-shore or third-party providers.
People management will be a crucial aspect of this position. You will lead a diverse team, including outsourced and contract staff, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and fostering continuous improvement in knowledge areas such as business processes, technical competencies, and stakeholder engagement. The role requires exceptional ability in risk management, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, managing dependencies, and ensuring seamless change management and production deployment processes across different functions.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree or above in business management or a STEM discipline, with 8–10 years of experience in project management, consulting, or operations—preferably within financial services. You must have hands-on experience delivering large-scale, complex digital change programmes with cross-functional teams and cutting-edge technologies. Your ability to think innovatively, approach problems creatively, and deliver effective solutions will set you apart. Strong communication skills in verbal and written formats are essential, along with the confidence to manage senior stakeholders and difficult discussions effectively.
You should possess practical experience with Agile methodologies or have a sound understanding of Agile principles. A self-starter attitude with the capability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.
