We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Audit Manager to join our client's team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will oversee audit planning, execution, and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
As an Audit Manager, you will lead audit engagements, manage audit teams, and act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit work, identifying potential risks, and providing strategic recommendations to improve financial practices and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage financial, operational, and regulatory audits across various business units.
- Lead the audit team throughout the audit lifecycle, from scope definition to final reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess the effectiveness of control processes.
- Identify internal control weaknesses, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
- Prepare detailed audit findings and present key observations to senior management.
- Ensure audits are conducted in accordance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
- Stay updated on changes to financial regulations and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CA is required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in auditing or a related field, preferably with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Thorough understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Hong Kong regulatory requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior staff.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
