Role Overview
The Business Analyst, Insurance collaborates closely with stakeholders, project teams, and subject matter experts to gather and analyse requirements, process workflows, and data insights. The role supports the development of technical specifications, testing, and stakeholder communication to ensure solution delivery meets business needs within an Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environment. Success is measured by the effective translation of business needs into functional solutions and smooth project execution.

  • Manage requirements elicitation and analysis with stakeholders, project sponsors, and SMEs
  • Develop process maps, gap analyses, and recommendations for business transformation
  • Interpret business data, identify trends, and prepare insights to support strategic decisions
  • Collaborate with solution architects and development teams to translate requirements into system designs
  • Support UAT, coordinate testing activities, and ensure solutions meet business expectations

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and sessions to ensure clarity and completeness of requirements
  • Analyse current business processes and identify opportunities for operational improvement
  • Interpret data to generate insights, support decision-making, and recommend process enhancements
  • Collaborate with technical teams to translate requirements into specifications and system designs
  • Coordinate UAT testing, defect management, and validation activities
  • Maintain effective communication channels with all project stakeholders and vendors

Requirements

  • Right to work in the specified location
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of Business Analysis experience in financial services or insurance (Senior BA level) or 10+ years (Lead BA level)
  • Proven experience delivering system implementation, digital transformation, or process improvement projects
  • Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project environments
  • Strong knowledge of insurance business domains including policy administration, underwriting, claims management, and policy servicing
  • Hands-on experience with Insurance Core Systems highly preferred
  • Understanding of Life Insurance, General Insurance, or Health Insurance operations is an advantage
  • On-Site work environment with a hybrid working model, initial start date on 17/07/2026, contract duration of 12 months, and location in Asia Contract
