Role Overview
The Senior KDB+/q Software Engineer joins a global, multi-disciplinary team responsible for data execution and trading platform enhancements. Reporting to senior managers, the successful candidate will contribute to building scalable data systems, optimise data quality, and work closely with front-office and trading technology teams. Success in this role will be measured by delivering robust, high-performance solutions aligned with project timelines.
Key Skills & Experience
- Lead the design and development of KDB+/q data analytics and trading system modules
- Build and optimise KDB data pipelines for high-volume trading environments
- Manage API design and integration with existing trading platforms
- Build CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment and system updates
- Interact regularly with cloud AWS and DevOps teams for system optimisation
- Perform coding, unit testing, and modelling activities to support AI tools [Limited data provided — review with hiring manager before publishing]

- Manage Python development for automation and data analysis tasks
- Contribute to cloud-based infrastructure using AWS
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain high-performance KDB+/q data systems to support trading activities
- Develop and implement APIs for seamless data integration
- Ensure data quality and optimise data storage solutions
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and cloud solutions
- Participate in pair programming sessions during technical interviews and development phases
Requirements
- Right to work in Singapore or willingness to relocate for onsite work in Singapore
- Proven experience in KDB+/q development, particularly within a financial services environment
- Strong understanding of data analytics, pipeline building, and automation
- Ability to participate in a multi-round interview process including pair programming and behavioural discussions
- Available to start on 15/07/2026 with a 2-week duration for initial engagement
