Tech Lead - Cloud Telephony

This role involves overseeing the migration of enterprise telephony systems from legacy platforms to cloud-based solutions, ensuring smooth project execution and minimal disruption. Role Overview:
The Tech Lead will be responsible for managing the end-to-end technical delivery of the telephony migration project, coordinating with external vendors and offshore teams, and liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure successful deployment. This position plays a key role in implementing cloud telephony solutions, ensuring project milestones are met without compromising operational continuity.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Significant experience (5-8 years) in technical project delivery or technical leadership within telephony or contact centre infrastructure
• Strong conceptual knowledge of Genesys Cloud and experience migrating legacy systems such as Avaya on-premises solutions
• Proven vendor management skills, particularly with external technical vendors and offshore teams
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business audiences
• Experience working with cloud environments, specifically AWS (as indicated in the skills)
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the technical end-to-end delivery of the enterprise telephony migration to the cloud
• Manage external vendors, offshore teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met
• Oversee the technical launch and deployment phases, minimizing business disruption during cutover windows
• Review technical delivery roadmaps and vendor outputs without requiring hands-on coding
• Coordinate the migration process, including IVR systems, ensuring seamless integration and operation
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in technical project delivery or leadership roles related to telephony or contact centre systems
• Strong understanding of Genesys Cloud and legacy migration experience, particularly with Avaya
• Demonstrable vendor and stakeholder management capabilities
• Ability to work on-site, with hybrid working arrangements possible
• Right to work in the country where the on-site role is based
• Availability to commence from 26/06/2026 for a 2-week engagement
Nice to Have (Optional):
• Experience with IVR migration projects
• Prior work with service providers managing complex enterprise clients
