Business Development Manager

Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will support the Head of Individual Sales in developing broker strategies and expanding broker networks. The role reports to the sales leadership team and involves direct interaction with brokers and occasionally clients to generate new business opportunities. Success is measured by meeting individual and team sales targets and delivering effective product solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Individual Sales to develop broker strategies
- Act as a primary contact point for brokers, providing high-quality service
- Expand existing broker relationships and develop new ones
- Work directly with clients when necessary to secure new business
- Deliver effective product solutions and handle sales enquiries
- Liaise among team members, internal, and external stakeholders
- Recommend process improvements to prevent issues
- Support ad-hoc business projects
Requirements
- Undergraduate Degree with minimum 8 years’ related working experience in banking or insurance
- Candidates with lesser experience will be considered for the Assistant Manager position
- IIQE Paper 1,2 required
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Self-motivated and able to manage priorities in meeting tight deadlines
- Detailed oriented, organised and able to work independently
- Strong communication, presentation and organisational skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Innovative and sound problem-solving skills to respond to brokers and clients
