We are seeking an exceptionally talented C++ Developer to join a leading high-frequency trading (HFT) firm specialising in low-latency trading systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for performance optimisation and an outstanding track record of developing systems that push the boundaries of speed and reliability in a trading environment.
You will be part of a high-calibre team of engineers dedicated to creating cutting-edge trading infrastructure, building ultra-low latency systems that interface with global markets. This role requires deep knowledge of C++ and experience in real-time systems, with a strong preference for developers who have previously worked at top-tier trading firms with a reputation for academic and technical excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, low-latency trading systems.
- Optimising C++ code and systems for minimal latency and maximal throughput.
- Working closely with traders and quantitative researchers to implement trading strategies and infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting performance bottlenecks in multithreaded and distributed systems.
- Participating in code reviews and system architecture discussions.
Requirements:
- Exceptional C++ programming skills, with deep understanding of modern C++ standards and best practices.
- Strong experience with low-level programming, including multithreading, memory management, and networking protocols.
- Proven experience in low-latency systems, preferably in a high-performance trading environment.
- Outstanding academic background, ideally with A-grades from elite institutions and/or experience in elite HFT environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a highly competitive environment.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, agile development environment with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with performance profiling, benchmarking, and debugging tools.
