We are seeking a Java Full Stack Developer with experience in front office trading systems to work on an in-house FX Options risk and life cycle management platform. The successful candidate will join a high-performance team in delivering risk solutions through a multi-year investment project, collaborating closely with trading, quantitative teams, operations and technology peers globally.
This is a hands-on engineering opportunity in a DevSecOps environment, requiring contribution across development, security, and operations. You will engage directly with stakeholders across the front office to design scalable, secure and efficient software solutions. The team embraces agile methodologies and continuous integration and delivery practices to ensure rapid and reliable development cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, testing and maintaining Java-based applications using Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Collaborating with global teams on project delivery, product design, and system architecture.
- Working with relational and NoSQL databases for effective data persistence strategies.
- Supporting production systems as part of a full DevSecOps lifecycle.
- Ensuring systems are observable with appropriate logging, metrics and tracing.
Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering front office applications in a trading environment.
- Expertise in Java development, including Spring and Spring Boot.
- Experience working with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, agile methodologies and tools for continuous integration/delivery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Comfortable working in a global team across different cultures and time zones.
Desirable Experience:
- Full stack development experience with knowledge of modern front-end frameworks.
- Experience with observability tools for system health monitoring and tracing.
- Multi-language programming skills (e.g., JavaScript, C++, Scala, scripting languages).
- Understanding of FX options trading, operations and life cycle processes.
- Familiarity with risk measures, matrices and topographies in financial systems.
- Experience using vendor risk systems such as Murex.
