We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team based in Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. This role requires a forward-thinking individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who can help drive strategic initiatives and enhance business performance.
The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse data, and deliver insights that support data-driven decision-making across the organisation. You will identify opportunities for improvement, assess current processes, and contribute to the development and implementation of business solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders through workshops, interviews, and analysis of existing processes.
- Conduct feasibility studies, gap analyses, and impact assessments to support strategic planning.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for technology teams.
- Develop and maintain process maps, flowcharts, and detailed documentation.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design and optimise business processes.
- Assist in the preparation of business cases, including cost-benefit analyses.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, ensuring delivery is aligned with objectives.
- Support testing, training, and change management activities during project implementation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience in a business analysis or similar role.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in data analysis and modelling techniques, with experience using tools such as SQL, Excel, or similar.
- Experience with business process modelling and documentation tools (e.g. Visio, BPMN).
- Adept at managing multiple projects and reprioritising tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall) is an advantage.
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or PRINCE2 are desirable but not essential.
