We are seeking a talented and motivated Front-End Developer to join our EQD Market Access team within the investment banking industry. This role is based in Hong Kong and offers an exciting opportunity to work at the cutting-edge of technology in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
As a Front-End Developer, your primary focus will be on building high-performance, responsive, and stable user interfaces using Angular. You will contribute to the design and implementation of features that directly impact equity derivatives market access platforms. Collaborating closely with back-end developers, you will also take part in refactoring existing C# code and integrating with cloud-based solutions to ensure seamless end-to-end performance and scalability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining front-end components for equity derivatives trading systems using Angular.
- Working closely with product owners and other stakeholders to understand business requirements.
- Collaborating with back-end developers to help refactor C# components and ensure complete integration with front-end systems.
- Implementing responsive web design principles to ensure optimal user experiences across a variety of devices.
- Participating in code reviews and agile development practices within a global technology team.
- Contributing to the adoption of cloud technologies to improve system performance and scalability.
Required skills and experience:
- Strong professional experience developing scalable front-end applications using Angular (preferably Angular 8+).
- Good understanding of TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.
- Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience integrating with back-end services.
- Experience with C# and .NET technologies, particularly in refactoring or extending back-end code.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and cloud-native architecture, preferably Azure or AWS.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
Desired qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience working in the financial services or investment banking sector is a plus.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
