We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Low Latency Developer with a strong background in C++ to join our client's technology-driven team in Hong Kong. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about building and optimising high-performance trading systems in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. You will be a crucial contributor to the development, enhancement, and support of our ultra-low latency trading systems, including market data handlers, trading gateways and platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support low latency trading components on Linux-based platforms.
- Enhance system performance and scalability through C++ optimisation techniques and advanced system tuning.
- Implement multithreaded and distributed applications with a focus on reliability and low latency.
- Collaborate with research, trading, and infrastructure teams to deliver production-grade systems.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and propose and implement system improvements.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 3-10 years of hands-on development experience with C++ on Linux systems.
- Strong knowledge of STL and Boost libraries.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing multithreaded and distributed systems.
- Experience with low latency system optimisation in a Linux environment.
- Proficient with the Linux/GCC development toolchain.
- Familiarity with market data feed handlers and execution gateways is highly desirable.
- Understanding of distributed network architecture and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of Equities and Futures trading is a strong plus.
- Advantageous to have experience with Linux kernel, FPGA integration, and NIC offloading techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
