Key Responsibilities
- Handle and assess travel insurance claims from initial notification through to settlement.
- Review claim documentation and make fair, timely, and customer-focused claim decisions.
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion when assessing claims, particularly in situations requiring interpretation and common-sense decision-making.
- Communicate with customers, service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient claim resolution.
- Maintain accurate claims records and deliver a high standard of customer service.
Requirements
- Previous insurance claims handling experience, ideally within travel or personal lines claims.
- Ability to work independently and manage claims with minimal supervision.
- Strong decision-making skills, with the confidence to exercise discretion where appropriate.
- Customer-focused mindset with a practical and flexible approach to claims assessment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance policy guidelines with fair and reasonable outcomes for customers.
