We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead and drive the Compensation Advisory function for the Transaction Banking division, with a particular focus on Cash and Trade services. This role will play a critical part in shaping and executing reward strategies that support the growth and profitability of our Transaction Banking business across key markets.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in compensation and benefits advisory, with a track record of supporting business leaders through strategic workforce planning, reward design, and performance management initiatives. A strong understanding of the cash and trade product landscape and its commercial levers is essential, as this role will involve working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure remuneration outcomes align with business performance and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Transaction Banking leadership to develop and implement compensation strategies that support business objectives and market competitiveness.
- Act as the primary adviser for all compensation-related matters, including fixed pay, incentives, and benefits frameworks within the Cash and Trade vertical.
- Provide strategic insights using data analytics to ensure pay-for-performance alignment and benchmark against industry trends.
- Lead annual compensation planning cycles, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of salary reviews and incentive outcome processes.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory guidelines, internal governance, and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Finance, and Legal to support reward communication, role evaluations, and approvals for senior hires or restructures.
- Identify and implement best practices for compensation approach across the Transaction Banking business.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in compensation advisory within financial services, preferably focused on transaction banking or corporate banking sectors.
- Strong knowledge of cash management, trade finance, and related transaction banking products.
- Solid understanding of reward regulations, governance frameworks, and incentive design principles.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior leaders across business and functional areas.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in compensation analytics and market benchmarking tools.
- Highly organised with strong project management capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business or a related field; professional certification in reward or HR is a plus.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills relevant to Asia markets are an advantage.
