We are seeking a highly experienced Compliance First Vice President (FVP) to oversee and strengthen the compliance framework for our digital asset environment. This role is instrumental in ensuring our operations meet regulatory obligations and internal compliance standards in the rapidly evolving digital asset (DAE) industry.

The successful candidate will work closely with business units, risk teams, regulators, and internal stakeholders to implement effective compliance policies, especially in relation to digital assets and relevant regulatory developments both locally and globally. The role requires subject matter expertise in AML/CFT, licensing requirements, transaction monitoring, and virtual asset regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance compliance policies and procedures tailored to digital asset operations.
  • Monitor regulatory developments relating to digital assets, providing guidance on potential impacts and required changes.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage regulatory enquiries, examinations, and submissions.
  • Ensure business operations align with the requirements of Hong Kong’s SFC and other relevant regulatory regimes.
  • Advise on compliance risks across new product launches, platform developments, and expansions in the DAE sector.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance training for staff related to DAE.
  • Oversee the implementation of transaction monitoring systems for digital asset activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Law, Finance, Risk Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of compliance experience in financial services, with at least 3 years focused on digital assets or virtual asset service providers (VASPs).
  • In-depth understanding of Hong Kong’s regulatory environment, AML/CFT obligations, and licensing requirements for DAE-related activities.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex regulatory standards.
  • Proven experience in dealing with regulators, audits, and compliance investigations.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This role presents the opportunity to be at the forefront of compliance in the digital asset ecosystem. If you are passionate about innovation, regulatory excellence, and contributing to the integrity of digital finance, we encourage you to apply.
