Role Overview
The Data & AI Governance Manager works within a team supporting Data and AI governance frameworks, policies, and controls. The role involves collaborating with various departments to develop policy materials, facilitate governance meetings, and coach team members on best practices. Success is measured by adherence to regulatory standards, effective data risk management, and the establishment of strong data control mechanisms.

- Define and track Data Quality rules
- Manage end-to-end Data Quality Incident & Risk Management
- Extensive knowledge of Data Governance, Data Management, and Data Quality in financial sector
- In-depth understanding of banking business and operations models
- Knowledge of Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Marts, and Master Data Management
- Familiarity with Data Privacy and Data Protection best practices
- Understanding of AI/Generative AI governance or AI risk management is advantageous
- Good communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills
- Proactive problem-solving approach
- Proficient in English and Chinese

Key Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Manager to establish governance standards for Data and AI management
- Support Data governance best practices, regulations, and compliance efforts
- Assist in defining data and AI strategy to ensure compliance with governance frameworks
- Collaborate on policy and guideline development, and prepare governance materials for committees
- Mentor and develop team members in governance practices
- Formulate and review enterprise Data Governance policies and standards
- Manage Data Management tools, Data Cataloging, and Data Quality tools evaluation and maintenance
- Manage the Enterprise Business Glossary, Data Dictionaries, and Metadata Repositories
- Oversee Data Stewardship and Ownership models for Critical Data Elements
- Establish Data Lineage to support regulatory reporting and impact analysis
- Build and track financial plans related to governance projects
- Control project spending and ensure delivery within budget
- Provide financial analysis and reporting on governance initiatives
- Develop and implement data quality and data protection standards
- Lead enterprise data governance implementation roadmaps
- Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to meet business requirements
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and internal standards
- Monitor risks in daily operations and adhere to risk control measures
Requirements
- University graduate in Information Technology, Data Science, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Data Governance, Data Privacy, or Risk Management within financial services or Fintech
- Hands-on experience with Data Governance, Data Management, and Data Quality in banking
- Ability to define and manage Data Quality rules and incidents
- In-depth knowledge of banking operations and regulatory environment
- Knowledge of Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Marts, and Master Data Management
- Understanding of Data Privacy and Data Protection practices
- Knowledge of AI/Generative AI governance or AI risk management is an advantage
- Good communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills
- Proficient in English and Chinese
