Role Overview:
The Electronic Equities Support Engineer will serve as a vital point of contact for trading operations, ensuring system stability, incident resolution, and seamless execution of release processes. The role requires coordinating across multiple stakeholders, driving operational initiatives, and supporting the organisation’s global trading activities.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Experience in trade support, project management, or related roles within electronic equities trading
• Strong understanding of trading systems, monitoring tools, and operational procedures
• Ability to manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with vendors, business users, and global teams
• Proven ability to drive operational stability and automation initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as Project Manager for assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment
• Drive projects across business lines and coordinate with IT, compliance, and other stakeholders
• Create and maintain run-book documentation and operational procedures
• Serve as primary contact for front-office and middle-office electronic execution teams
• Provide daily support on order behaviors and technical issues
• Perform daily health checks and ensure readiness during weekends and holidays
• Use monitoring tools to improve system effectiveness and conduct impact assessments
• Manage incidents, including external exchange problems and internal bugs
• Conduct incident reviews and implement permanent fixes
• Coordinate with software vendors, oversee release management, and schedule deployments
• Lead operational stability initiatives and automate repetitive tasks
• Participate in global shift coverage, market rehearsals, and disaster recovery exercises
Requirements:
