A top-tier western hedge fund is looking for a Equity Trade Support Associate. The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of experience from a buy-side or sell-side environment in the middle office area. 


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire post-trade process for equity transactions, encompassing trade entry, modifications, and resolution of discrepancies.

  • Assess and confirm daily reconciliations between internal systems and external partners, proactively identifying and addressing any exceptions.

  • Address margin calls and collateral needs, collaborating with the Treasury team and prime brokers.

  • Serve as a vital link among the Trading Desk

  • Guarantee prompt and precise settlement of trades, resolving any discrepancies related to trades or settlements.

  • Aid in the adoption of process enhancements and control improvements within the equities operations framework.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a similar field.

  • Over 8 years of experience in trade support, middle office, or post-trade operations, ideally in a hedge fund, asset management firm, or investment banking environment.

  • Extensive understanding of equity products, including the complete trade lifecycle up to settlement and corporate actions.

  • Familiarity with interactions involving prime brokers, execution brokers, and fund administrators.

  • Excellent communication abilities and capacity to collaborate across various functions and with stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, adept at handling multiple priorities.

  • High levels of ownership and initiative, with a focus on process improvement.
