We are seeking a Data Product Manager with a strong background in mobile application product development, specifically within the life insurance sector. This exciting role is based in Hong Kong and requires a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between business goals and data-driven product innovation. You will be responsible for delivering compelling mobile app experiences by harnessing the power of data to improve customer engagement and business performance.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in managing data products, with a particular focus on mobile platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including digital, analytics, engineering, compliance, and business stakeholders to define product visions, roadmaps, features and key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the data product strategy for mobile applications within the life insurance domain.
- Translate business needs into data-driven mobile app features and experiences.
- Collaborate with development and UX teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Prioritise product backlog based on business impact, feasibility, and compliance considerations.
- Own product lifecycle management from ideation to release and iteration based on analytics and user feedback.
- Ensure all products adhere to regulatory requirements and company data governance standards.
- Continuously analyse product performance and customer behaviour to inform future enhancements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Data Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on mobile applications and data products.
- Prior experience in the insurance industry, preferably life insurance, is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data platforms, dashboards, and tools (e.g. SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Proven experience handling structured and unstructured data to optimise customer engagement.
- In-depth understanding of customer journey mapping, user behaviour analytics, and A/B testing.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Fluency in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin highly advantageous.
