Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join their Business Performance Management team in Hong Kong. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about driving operational efficiency, enhancing business insights, and supporting strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing business performance, coordinating budgeting and forecasting processes, and implementing performance improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and solid experience in business performance monitoring, financial analysis, and reporting. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help gather relevant data, develop dashboards and KPI reports, and present insights to senior management. A strong grasp of financial modelling and business process optimisation will be essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term business plans.
- Conduct regular performance analysis across business units and provide meaningful insights to support strategic initiatives.
- Develop performance dashboards and management reports to monitor key financial and operational indicators.
- Collaborate with business units to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to processes and systems.
- Support senior management in strategic decision-making by providing accurate and timely performance data.
- Review and evaluate business cases and investment proposals from a financial and strategic perspective.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline. Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in business performance management, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), or management consulting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and create insightful reports.
- Proficient in Excel and financial modelling; experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English; proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus.
