We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join a fast-growing payments fintech based in Hong Kong. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment and is passionate about redefining the future of digital payments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and reporting. You will play a key strategic role in improving financial performance, implementing controls and procedures, and providing insights to foster sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with regional and international standards.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and fintech industry trends.
- Develop and enforce financial controls and policies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with local regulatory frameworks including HKFRS and SFC requirements.
- Collaborate with various departments to support business strategy, cost efficiency, and capital allocation decisions.
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Monitor cash flow, funding requirements, and financial planning to support scaling operations.
- Support the implementation of new payment technologies and contribute financial insights for product development and partnerships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the fintech, payments, or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance in Hong Kong and familiarity with international regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in financial reporting tools and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to lead financial planning and analysis in a high-growth environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English; fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage.
