Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Finance to lead and oversee all financial operations in our organisation based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level financial guidance, ensuring robust financial planning, compliance, and risk management, as well as supporting business growth and long-term financial sustainability.
In this pivotal role, you will work closely with senior leadership to make informed financial decisions, set budgets, manage reporting processes, and drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate must demonstrate exceptional analytical ability, leadership capabilities and a strong understanding of financial legislation, accounting standards, and best practices within the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company objectives
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Oversee financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls
- Manage cash flow, investments, and capital structure
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to guide executive decision-making
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting regulations
- Lead and mentor finance team members and support cross-functional collaboration
- Establish and maintain effective financial systems and controls
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in senior financial roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position
- Proven experience managing financial operations in a complex business environment
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive financial performance improvements
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and implementation
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French or Chinese is an advantage
