Head of IT
A leading organization with a focus on financial services and a collaborative culture is seeking a Head of IT to lead its large IT team. The company is committed to innovation, security, and strategic growth within the financial sector, offering a dynamic environment where technology and business objectives align seamlessly. In this role, you will oversee a team of approximately 70 IT professionals across development, infrastructure, security, project management, and Web3 product management, ensuring the stability and security of critical production systems such as trading platforms and settlement systems. This position plays a vital part in driving IT strategy, managing system maintenance and vendor relationships, and fostering a high-performance team culture, reporting to senior management with a finance background.
Role Overview:
This leadership role is responsible for managing and aligning the organization's IT operations with strategic business goals, ensuring operational stability, security, and innovation across key financial systems.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 10+ years of IT experience, preferably within securities firms, investment banks, or financial institutions
• Proven management experience leading medium-to-large IT teams (30+ staff)
• Solid technical foundation with familiarity in trading systems, OMS, FIX, and cybersecurity (preferred but not mandatory)
• Deep understanding of securities business including cash equities, derivatives, Northbound Trading, Delta One, and related products
• Fluency in Mandarin and English, with strong communication skills to coordinate with headquarters, regional teams, and vendors
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of approximately 70 IT professionals across various functions
• Ensure the stability and security of all production systems, including trading and settlement platforms
• Drive IT strategy to meet business objectives and comply with regulatory requirements
• Oversee system maintenance, upgrades, and vendor management
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture
• Report to senior management, providing strategic insights and guidance
Requirements:
• On-site work environment in Asia
• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant IT experience in financial services
• Right to work in the designated location
• Familiarity with Chinese corporate culture
• Native Mandarin and fluent English speaker
