Technology Team Lead

Overview

Our client are seeking a Technical Team Lead to join our APAC Exchange Connectivity team. In this pivotal role, you will develop and enhance low-latency, high-frequency exchange connectivity applications. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and delivering complex software systems that align with business needs. You will lead a team of highly skilled software engineers and manage projects through all phases—from requirements gathering and analysis to development, testing, and production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and enhancement of exchange connectivity applications tailored to trading environments.
• Manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring projects meet business objectives.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of robust software solutions, focusing on performance and scalability.
• Conduct thorough testing and performance tuning to meet demanding latency reduction goals.
• Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging innovation and best practices.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a technical or related discipline.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years in a technology team lead role.
  • At least 3 years in the financial markets industry, managing multiple concurrent projects from analysis to production.
  • Expertise in exchange connectivity technology.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and developing applications using object-oriented programming in C++ on Linux.
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep knowledge of design principles, performance optimization, and latency reduction methodologies.
  • Proficiency with STL, Boost, sockets, multi-threading, and IPC.
• Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with financial products, exchange connectivity, and market data.
