We are seeking an experienced Sales & Client Coverage professional to join our client's Global Commodities team at VP/AVP level, based in Hong Kong. This role is open to relationship managers from both Chinese and foreign banking backgrounds. The successful candidate will be responsible for client acquisition, relationship management, and risk oversight within the commodities sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new client relationships and facilitate account opening and client reviews.
  • Organise and execute marketing events to promote commodities offerings.
  • Manage and maintain counterparty relationships in coordination with relevant internal teams.
  • Provide ongoing support for client transactions and ensure high standards of client servicing.
  • Monitor and review risk limits relating to clients and trading counterparties to ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Assist in the development and promotion of new business lines and structured commodity products.
  • Monitor trading positions, perform ongoing risk exposure reviews, and report findings to senior management.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and identify potential risks and opportunities affecting client portfolios.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in commodities marketing, with a strong professional network in the industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to the commodities market.
  • High level of professionalism with a strong sense of responsibility and sound ethical judgement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua.
