Senior Data Platform Lead

Role Overview
The Senior Data Platform Lead supports data governance efforts, oversees system analysis, design, development, and maintenance of data platforms. The role involves implementing enterprise data architecture, establishing development standards, and integrating DEVOPS tools and methodologies. Success is measured by the effective delivery of data services, troubleshooting issues efficiently, and collaborating with both internal and external technical teams.
Key Skills & Experience
- Support data governance including data requirement management, data ingestion, and authorization management
- Implement data platform architecture incorporating big data, NoSQL, streaming, and AI applications
- Perform system analysis, design, development, and maintenance for data platforms and applications
- Design and deliver self-service analytics solutions
- Establish frameworks, development standards, and enterprise data models
- Incorporate DEVOPS tools and methodologies
- Troubleshoot technical issues and propose solutions
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
- At least 8 years of application development experience, especially in enterprise data warehouse and big data / AI projects
- Proficient in SQL, DB2, DataStage ETL, data reporting, and visualization tools such as Tableau
- Knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka Streaming, and NoSQL systems like MongoDB and Neo4J
- Additional knowledge in Java, Python, K8s, Docker, Microservices, and distributed computing is a plus
- Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience in banking and financial services preferred
- Proficiency in both Chinese and English; Mandarin is an advantage
- Candidate with less relevant experience may be considered for an Application Development Manager role
