We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our pricing and development activities for new health insurance products. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong technical knowledge to design and update pricing tools, frameworks, and parameters. The successful candidate will support the development and maintenance of pricing guidelines and portfolio management reports for allocated client accounts.
Working closely with business divisions, you will act as a key business partner, enabling effective communication and alignment across teams. You will also collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement management information reports which monitor insurance risks underwritten by various business units. This includes risk-adjusted price indices, exposure aggregates, limits, and business volume metrics.
In addition, this role involves providing training and guidance to business clients on best practices in pricing and portfolio management, ensuring consistent understanding across the organisation. A deep understanding of medical and critical illness products is essential, alongside a strong grasp of relevant market trends and product designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead pricing and development of new health insurance products, with focus on medical and critical illness.
- Design and maintain technical pricing tools and update key pricing parameters.
- Develop and implement pricing frameworks and guidelines across the business.
- Compile and maintain detailed portfolio management reports for client accounts.
- Support business planning activities and overall portfolio analysis.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure coherent insurance risk monitoring.
- Create risk-adjusted price indices and monitor exposure aggregates and business volumes.
- Deliver training sessions to internal clients on pricing analytics and portfolio strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in actuarial science, insurance, mathematics, statistics, or natural sciences.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in life & health actuarial pricing or product development, ideally within the reinsurance industry.
- Actuarial qualification or fellowship strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of medical and critical illness insurance products and market trends.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly present complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English.
