We are seeking an experienced and strategic professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Risk Management. Based in Hong Kong, this role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing the organisation’s overall risk management framework, ensuring robust risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring aligned with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
The successful candidate will lead cross-functional initiatives to establish risk tolerances, policies, and procedures that foster a strong risk-aware culture across the business. Working closely with senior leadership, you will provide expert advice on risk exposures and mitigation strategies across market, credit, operational, and strategic risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks and policies.
- Lead risk assessments across departments, identifying and evaluating business risks.
- Monitor emerging risks and support business units in developing mitigation strategies.
- Oversee regulatory compliance matters related to risk management.
- Prepare and present detailed risk analysis reports to senior executives and committees.
- Collaborate with internal audit and control functions to ensure appropriate testing and improvement of risk controls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g. FRM, CFA) preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of risk management experience in financial services or a related industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of enterprise risk management principles and quantitative risk analysis techniques.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices within the financial industry, particularly in the Hong Kong region.
- Proven ability to work independently and make sound risk-based decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in risk assessment tools and techniques.
