This established financial institution, with a focus on innovation and client-centric solutions, is seeking an experienced professional to join its Commercial Banking division in Hong Kong. As part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio encompassing SME and mid-cap corporate clients, playing a key role in driving revenue and deepening client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of SME and mid-cap clients, identifying new business opportunities to expand the bank’s commercial banking footprint.
  • Prepare and present detailed credit proposals based on thorough financial analysis, in alignment with internal credit approval processes.
  • Achieve assigned business targets, including loan and deposit acquisition, through strategic client engagement and business development efforts.
  • Deliver a full suite of banking products and services to clients, with a strong focus on cross-selling and providing tailored financial solutions.
  • Maintain a high-quality, profitable loan book while strictly adhering to credit and risk management policies.
  • Provide leadership and support to Assistant Relationship Managers and contribute to team knowledge-sharing and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in commercial banking, with proven capabilities as a Relationship Manager managing a portfolio of local corporate clients.
  • Strong understanding of commercial banking products, including working capital financing, trade finance, and structured lending.
  • Excellent credit assessment skills with the ability to evaluate risk and profitability effectively.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to engage clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently under pressure while contributing effectively as a team player.
  • Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is essential for servicing a broad client base and managing internal communications.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and business development activities.
