Role Overview:
The Tech Lead will oversee the development and delivery of next-generation digital IT solutions, supporting the company's Technology, Digital, and Analytics strategies. Acting as a key technical authority, the role involves managing cross-functional teams, designing scalable architectures, and ensuring the successful implementation of innovative applications aligned with strategic objectives. This position is essential to maintaining the company's competitive edge and driving sustainable business advantages.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Extensive experience in IT with a focus on digital projects and delivery leadership
• Proven ability to manage local, vendor, and offshore technical teams
• Deep knowledge of API development, Microservices design, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Hands-on expertise with digital development technologies such as HTML5, React, Angular, Vue, Flutter, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot
• Strong familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and data ecosystems (Python, Mongo, Data Lake)
• Understanding of enterprise integration tools (Kafka, WebSphere/JBoss) and security/authentication standards (OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML)
• Soft skills including excellent interpersonal communication, self-motivation, and cross-team collaboration
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead application development, architecture design, and implementation for digital solutions
• Manage local, vendor, and offshore technical teams to deliver complex projects on time and within scope
• Define end-to-end scalable architecture for web and mobile applications, conducting solution assessments with business partners
• Lead Agile development practices using DevOps pipelines and microservices architectures, promoting high-quality engineering standards
• Identify and mitigate project risks, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize system performance
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, testing, and documentation
• Provide technical advisory and training to enhance team capabilities
• Conduct research on emerging IT trends and recommend system upgrades
• Ensure all deliverables comply with internal standards, security frameworks, and regulatory guidelines
• Oversee licensing requirements and ensure team compliance with professional standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to digital projects and 3 years in a delivery lead role
• Prior experience in multinational financial services, insurance, or technology consulting firms is highly desirable
• On-site work environment in a hybrid setting
• Valid skills in HKG FO Dev DevOps
