Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our client's team based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our products through rigorous testing protocols, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

As a Test Engineer, you will be engaged in developing, executing, and maintaining test plans and test cases across a range of projects. You will work closely with developers and product teams to identify defects, suggest improvements, and ensure that system functionality aligns with user requirements and performance criteria.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute detailed, comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Carry out functional, regression, automation, and performance testing across multiple platforms and systems.
• Identify, document, and track bugs or issues using test management tools.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and technical specifications.
• Ensure software meets quality standards and complies with industry regulations and company policies.
• Analyse test results and provide detailed reports to help drive decisions and improve overall product quality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes and automation frameworks.

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a software or hardware testing role.
• Strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
• Proficient with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Shell.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and version control systems such as Jira, Git, or similar.
• Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
