A leading international financial institution is seeking an experienced and client-centric Vice President or Senior Vice President to join its Transaction Banking division, focusing on Custodian & Securities Services. Based in Hong Kong, this strategic role is integral to driving institutional business growth across the region, with a particular emphasis on non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs), including asset managers, fund administrators, insurance firms, and securities firms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales and revenue growth for custodian services, fund services, securities lending, and related post-trade offerings.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to increase market penetration across institutional clients and sovereign funds.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders at asset management firms, pension funds, insurance companies, and securities firms.
  • Collaborate with internal product and service teams to deliver customised, client-centric solutions ensuring smooth onboarding and excellent service delivery.
  • Analyse industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to identify commercial opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and external client engagement forums.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in custodian services, securities services, or institutional sales environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue and manage key client relationships within financial services.
  • Sound understanding of custody operations, fund services, securities lending, and relevant regulatory frameworks is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with strong negotiation capabilities.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin is preferred
