We are seeking an experienced and driven Actuarial Manager to join our team based in Beijing, China. This full-time position offers an annual salary of £500,000. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ relevant experience within the actuarial profession, particularly in relation to auditing insurance clients, with deep knowledge of IFRS17 and strong technical expertise in actuarial and reserve assessments.
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with audit teams and our insurance sector clients, providing high-quality actuarial support. Responsibilities will include leading actuarial engagements, reviewing and evaluating reserve assessments, and managing the implementation and application of IFRS17. You will play a key role in delivering audit support services in relation to the valuation of technical provisions and capital modelling, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and actuarial standards.
Key requirements for the role include hands-on experience with 审计 (audit) for 保险客户 (insurance clients), as well as proven proficiency in 精算评估 (actuarial evaluations) and 准备金评估 (reserve evaluations). Strong communication skills, both in English and Mandarin, are highly desirable. Candidates should be qualified or nearly qualified actuaries with solid experience in life or non-life insurance valuation, reporting, and model development – ideally within a consulting or audit environment.
You will demonstrate a strong understanding of actuarial methodologies and regulatory frameworks, with a particular focus on IFRS17 implementation and its impact on financial reporting. The ability to manage and lead teams, prioritise multiple deadlines, and deliver under pressure is essential. You should be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and contributing to business development and client relationship management.
