We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in Beijing, China in a pricing-focused role within the actuarial field. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of pricing strategies to support business profitability and growth, providing key actuarial insights and analysis to help guide data-driven decision-making.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your actuarial expertise in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for pricing new and existing products, conducting actuarial modelling and financial analysis, and collaborating cross-functionally with underwriting, finance, and product development teams to ensure sustainable pricing strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining pricing models and tools.
- Conducting experience studies and monitoring assumptions for pricing and profitability metrics.
- Providing detailed actuarial analysis to support business initiatives.
- Identifying pricing trends and opportunities for portfolio optimisation.
- Ensuring compliance with internal governance and regulatory standards.
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of relevant actuarial experience, preferably in pricing roles within insurance or financial services.
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation or equivalent actuarial qualification.
- Proven ability to develop and apply actuarial pricing techniques, models, and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, MoSes), as well as strong Excel and SQL skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Fluency in English is essential; Mandarin is a plus but not required.
