This role is based in Hong Kong, Hong Kong Island, and offers a competitive salary paid in HKD. The Agency Compliance Assistant Manager / Manager will play a pivotal role in the oversight and enhancement of risk management practices across the agency division. This position involves close coordination with compliance, operational teams, and business units to establish a strong risk culture and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Risk Assessment & Management
  • Maintain an overview of the agency's risk universe.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritise operational, regulatory, and strategic risks.
  • Support Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Business Information Security Office (BISO) by evaluating business proposals, projects, and strategies for potential risk exposure.
  • Collaboration & Coordination
  • Act as the Division’s risk representative to coordinate risk analysis and assessments with business units.
  • Collaborate with compliance and operational teams to embed effective risk management practices throughout the organisation.
  • Manage internal inquiries and assist in engaging with relevant business stakeholders alongside senior leadership.
  • Monitoring & Reporting
  • Monitor key risk indicators and escalate any emerging risks in a timely and transparent manner.
  • Support the implementation of Group Incidents & Issues Management Standards, ensuring processes are followed effectively.
  • Coordinate investigations, conduct root cause analyses, and execute remediation plans in response to risk-related events.
  • Develop and present comprehensive risk and compliance reports to senior management and governance committees.
  • Framework Development
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of risk frameworks, including the Group Risk Framework and Conduct Risk Policy.
  • Promote a strong risk awareness across all departments, fostering a proactive risk culture.
  • Deliver training and provide ongoing guidance to departments to strengthen their understanding and management of risk.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
    • Solid prior experience in risk management, compliance, or closely related functions within a regulated industry.
    • Excellent analytical capabilities and a strong attention to detail.
    • Exceptional communication skills and proven ability to collaborate across departments.
    • Efficient at managing multiple priorities simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
