Job Responsibilities
1. Market Research & Product Proposition
- Monitor HK and Mainland insurance market trends, competitor movements, and client segment dynamics to identify business opportunities
- Analyze research insights to enhance product positioning and identify product gaps
- Drive product design and innovation across protection, health, savings, retirement, and legacy solutions
- Manage end-to-end product approval process and secure stakeholder buy-in (senior management, regional, distribution)
- Partner with distribution to refine product positioning, gather feedback, and enhance marketability
2. Product Development & Management
- Collaborate with internal functions to ensure feasibility and effective execution of product initiatives
- Lead product development projects using structured project management and operating guidelines
- Prepare and oversee product materials, ensuring accuracy and quality of deliverables
- Act as product SME across initiatives (e.g. regulatory changes, operational enhancements, business projects)
- Drive seasonal campaigns and product initiatives aligned with market and business needs
3. Channel Communication
- Represent the product team to communicate product propositions, key selling points, and support materials across channels
4. Product Strategy
- Support the development of forward-looking product strategy and roadmap to achieve business targets
5. People Management
- Coach and develop team members to enhance capabilities and team performance
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree holder
- Minimum 8 years of life insurance experience in product development/management
- Strong understanding of HK insurance products, customer needs, and sales processes (Mainland exposure is a plus)
- Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and optimize resources
- Strong written and spoken English, Chinese, and Mandarin
