We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join the Internal Audit team focusing on Global Banking. Based in Hong Kong, this role is suited to an individual with deep knowledge of wholesale banking products and services, including lending, capital markets, and investment banking. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering independent, objective assurance over the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls. Utilising a risk-based approach, you will be responsible for identifying potential areas of concern, contributing to the planning and execution of audits, and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.

As an Audit Manager, you will be expected to plan and deliver audits with minimal supervision, including the coordination of audit teams and the incorporation of subject matter expertise. You will be responsible for evaluating the internal control environment, identifying control weaknesses, recommending solutions, and monitoring the implementation of agreed audit recommendations. The role also involves building strong relationships with stakeholders across Global Banking and contributing to the enhancement of the internal audit methodology.

To succeed in this role, candidates must have a strong grasp of operational and regulatory risks associated with the Global Banking business. You should have prior experience in internal or external audit, preferably within a financial institution or a professional services firm. Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIA, or equivalent are preferred. A solid understanding of the regulatory environment in the Asia-Pacific region is highly desirable, along with excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with the control frameworks and governance relevant to assurance and audit is critical.

This opportunity offers exposure to a dynamic and evolving business within a leading financial hub. Success in the role requires a proactive mindset, sound judgement, and a commitment to continuously improving audit practices in alignment with industry developments. You must be able to operate effectively in a matrixed environment, demonstrate a strong ethical foundation, and manage tasks with autonomy while collaborating seamlessly with peers. Fluency in English is essential and proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin would be advantageous but not mandatory.
